Ok Guys…How can I add a Collision to the walls of a house but still let the player move around in the house??? I added Collision but it covers the doors and the inside :(…
I’m assuming you’re talking about a static mesh that you’ve made in blender/maya/max. You’ll need to take a look at https://docs.unrealengine.com/latest/INT/Engine/Content/FBX/StaticMeshes/index.html#collision

Or watch fighter5347’s collision tutorial on youtube, he explains it pretty good: CLICK CLICK!
(the third way is the one you will need for your purposes)
You should name your thread something relevant next time.
In the 3D application you’re using, make simple geometry that covers each part where you want collision and name them UCX_nameofmesh.
Ue4 will read these as collision and make them invisible and not part of the geometry.
Thanks that did the job Kylawl
Rakantor thanks, I watched most of his videos I just couldn’t figure out how to do it with my buildings .
Sitrec your good at this but stop with correcting me on every post!!
When you’re looking for help on a subject, try and use a topic title that’s more descriptive of the issue you’re having rather than something ambiguous. That way people will be more inclined to read the thread and help you, and if someone later on has the same issue, they can easily search for the thread and find a solution.
will do Darth
Don’t forget that there are many resources around such as Docs.UnrealEngine.com and**AnswerHub** that are a good place to search for common answers to questions as well.
Try giving these a search for answers to common problems such as collision and if you’re still having issues then posting on the forums or AnswerHub is a good place to go next. The docs search is a very powerful search in that it will search any of our sites (AnswerHub, Forums, documentation, etc) for your topic. ![]()
This also helps keep the duplicate threads to a minimum.
Thanks!

Thanks Tim I didn’t know about that
Hi Sirhope,
I saw that you deleted this thread, but I chose to re-open it because the information contained in here can be useful for other people as well. I also updated the topic’s title.
If you really insist on deleting it though, you can go ahead.
Cheers
Hi Stephen, No it’s ok.
