I am trying to import a rig from Daz, that I have imported and used AUTO RIG PRO to rig in Blender for the UE5 Manquin, but when I import them into the UE5.1 UE5 crashes and throws out a
“Array index out of bounds: 111 from an array of size 106” error.
I have been trying to manually fix this for last three day and still not got any further, I am wondering what could be causing the problem or at least understanding what a “Array Index out of bounds” actually is in context with importing a FBX rigged model? Would really appreciate a little help in understanding or where to go to understand why it’s throwing up such an error? and what the possible cause of this would be?
I tried this with other models too, not just a Daz one, and getting the same thing over and over is this a bug?
I am starting to think this is bug, because no matter what I do it just crashes, I have created a new project, with nothing else in it and still get the same crash. I noticed to seems to be saying “Rebuilding animation” when it crashes? I am not sure why, but it would great if someone could help me.
Having the same issue. As soon as I open this UE5 asset I got from the marketplace, the editor tries to find the UE5 skeleton in my project. Once it does it tries to rebuild the animation cache for the new asset and crashes. I’m guessing there is some weird mismatch with bones.
I had the same error when I tried to import a character from Mixamo, I put the fbx file in the content though the file explorer while the editor was open, the editor recognized some new files and it asked me to do you want to import these files, when I said yes it worked! :D. Dragging and dropping made the unreal crash as well as directly importing through the editor, but try the method I said, it might work.
