You can absolutely make a flight simulator on the editor. The limitation is that you cannot use the editor to create software to actually fly planes, drones, drive tanks, etc. Simulators are perfectly fine, it is when the program could potentially put human life at stake that you are not able to use UE4.

Hi, what do you mean by creating software to fly planes, drones, etc?
If I understand, if you want to create a flight sim, you can with AI pilot and human pilot?
Does UE4 support plane physics and speed depending of the wind direction, etc?
Whatever, I love Flight Simulator X, but it’s old. There is Prepar3D, but it’s offered for professional or academic purposes…
Dovetail Games will do something for Flight Simulator X, but we don’t know what and there is no information about a futur next-gen flight simulator. It’s why I would like to create mine, but not yet and not alone.
Looks great Morty. But I’d like to offer a criticism that nobody else seems to see. I would argue that if you wall up the hangar and block the sun-light… that that’s what the lighting you presently have really feels like.
After you posted the shots from Unity, I thought maybe the lack of sun-light interacting was because you first lit everything for a night scene. As it is now, I’m not buying that there is a big open door there, allowing sun-light to shine in and bounce. Everything else looks fantastic though.
