Hands deformed after importing from DAZ into Unreal

Hello guys,
I’m continuing to learn UE5 and specifically how to correctly import DAZ character from a story I’ve created into UNREAL.
The character you see here is a Genesis 8.
Since I’m going for simple poses, here are the steps I followed :

  • Posing the character in DAZ and sending it to Unreal with DAZ to Unreal setting. I exported it as an animation sequence 'for some reason, I never manage to make the “pose export” option to work)
  • I did a retargeting since on the import the mesh was pretyy deformed.
  • After that the problems that remained were : lots of clipping on the clothes and props (glasses and earring out of position)
  • So I exported it in Blender (3.6.5) as an FBX, placed the glasses and earring correctly and fixed the clipping with the smoothing brush
  • I reimported it in Unreal and as you can see, some problems remain. The base skeletal mesh looks ok but the pose still has a lot of clipping and the hands are completely deformed

My first guesses would be that either my export options from blender were wrong or I did the retargeting wrong.

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated

THanks a lot
