Still waiting until Epic finishes their code review and the plugin finally makes it to the marketplace before I add anything more (because it would suck if pushing an updated build would make it take even longer again…)
Updated the 4.12 build for the 4.12.4 hotfix
Thanks! What’s new with the plugin?
Nothing, really. Source/Q1 is robust, Q3/Doom3 should import levels fine (without any possible extra referenced models).
Still waiting back on news from Epic, which is really sapping my motivation to add anything at the moment.
Probably a silly question but I’ve seen this model before… If I purchase right now, do I get access to all future version?
If so, you’ve got my purchase. I love hammer’s editor. Really dislike the UE4 BSP tools.
Yes, you’ll have access to all future versions (and past versions where it makes sense, if you care about that, as shown on the itch.io version).
I won’t stop updating the current itch/gumroad versions once it eventually makes it onto the Epic marketplace, don’t worry.
Hell, the itch/gumroad versions will probably always update faster than the Epic marketplace version in case of bugs/new UE builds, since I have direct access there.
As proof that work continues: this was a feature request that’ll be in the next public release (demonstrated here on a new, empty project).
If a map references a model and it can’t be found in your project, HammUEr will create a red question mark placeholder model in the “right” directory structure you can replace yourself afterwards, which should cut out the need to re-import the whole map if you didn’t import a model.
You’ve definitely got my purchase when I get paid. It’s a shame that it takes a third party tool to actually make UE4’s level creation less… sucky.
4.12.5 hotfix builds up (which actually contain some 1.6 features already)
w00t! Cool stuff.
What are those features?
Mostly minor stuff, like the thing in the image right above us
It’s official now.
HammUEr will not be appearing on the Marketplace due to circumstances beyond my control.
It’s Epic’s choice, and I respect that, but if anyone was waiting to buy a marketplace version…
sorry, it’s not going to happen.
This does not mean I will stop supporting or upgrading the currently available version.
Sorry to hear that,
Did they at least explain why?
They did.
Like I said, I understand and respect their decision.
It’s just a bummer.
I recommend everyone buy it on Itchio. Good site.
Unfortunately it seems it adds 25 % sales tax here in Denmark so the price is $60 instead
Jesus. 42 dollars?! I’m gonna have to pass on this unless there’s a major sale or something.
o.O you can’t be serious …
So you’d rather spend extra hours dicking about with UE4’s crappy BSP tools, instead of spending $42 and making your job easier?
, just purchased. Thanks again for an amazing tool
I’ve run into a problem with importing textures. There’s none apparently. But I’ve applied the orange dev texture to it.
Not sure what I’ve done wrong.
What format are your textures in? Also, screenshot your basematerial
You’re welcome!
Couple of questions:
Your textures are on your desktop? (note the c:/Users//Desktop/ next to the import button) If not, you maybe forgot to ok the directory after clicking choose source directory?
What format textures are you trying to import? Source VMT/VTF combos?
