Hair / object

Hi all,

I’ve been making use of Blender’s ‘hair’ generator by selecting some strands of moss I’d modelled previously as the source to project thousands of copies from a tree, with some random offsets.

I’m aware Unreal Engine has its own ‘hair’ generator - but was wondering if it’s possible to select any object as the source of hair - as you can in Blender??? If so, does anyone have any tips or links to resources on how to implement this?
