Hair moves when enabling binding asset - transform controls don't work

Hey folks!

I have a problem when importing an Alembic hair asset and trying to bind it to the skeletal mesh of a metahuman (easy, right?)

My asset imports just fine and is, by default, a little bit out of position, which I can adjust just fine using the transform controls for the groom asset that I’ve created.

However, when I enable the binding asset, the hair moves back to it’s default position (too far back from the head) and the transform controls no longer work.

What am I doing wrong…?
