Hades Fan Art Environment - Orpheus Lyre

The project is finished! You can check out the results below or here on the Artstation post: https://www.artstation.com/artwork/nEZRD6. Let me know what you guys think!

Hello everyone!

After playing the game Hades and absolutely loving everything about it, I was inspired to make some fan art of this lyre model that Orpheus holds in game.

This is the current state of the scene, below you can see some of the wip shots.

My current to do list for it is:

  1. Better scroll arrangement across the scene, with more varied scroll models, some different textures for them because at the moment it’s 2 same scroll repeated across the whole thing.
  2. Add some dents to the couch so the lyre looks like it sinks a bit into the couch bottom mattress, it looks weightless at the moment sitting there.
  3. Further refine the texture on some of the props a bit, the lyre itself being priority because I want to get some close up renders of all the props too. The pillow is on the list too for a new texture, I had some different plans with it but I didn’t get to it yet. Some other stuff would be oil spots and grime on the oil lamp on the table, after the scrolls are placed in their final form I’ll add some ink spots on the table too.

Would love some feedback on the lighting and general atmosphere, it took some tries to get to a point where I like it.

Also the composition :)), I tried all the tricks I knew to try and get the viewers attention towards the lyre but if you guys think some things don’t fit I would like to hear it.

Thank you!

Greetings @Lefteremil, and thank you for sharing your incredible “Hades” inspired environment here in the Unreal Engine Forums! Your environment is coming together very nicely! The lighting looks great, especially in comparison to the other WIP shots where the scene was a tad bit darker. Every asset pleasingly complements the total environment and doesn’t draw too much attention from the Lyre. Kudos on a job well done so far!

I’m looking forward to seeing further updates.

Here is what I’m planning to have as the final render of the environment itself, I did the changes I planned to do and some other adjustments.

Next I’ll render the lyre and some of the props individually and work on the presentation for the Artstation post. If you guys have any feedback I would love to hear it, thank you!
