Guide to Integrating a Custom 3D Model as a Main Character in UEFN

I have already imported my 3D model that I created outside of UEFN, it is a different mesh to the Fortnite model.

The problem is that it only lets me use it as an enemy but not as the main character.

Does anyone know how I can do it and its functionalities?

You can’t do custom animated skins that look good without going into complex materials right now

Depending on what you want to achieve, displaying your model inside a VFX that you attach to players through a powerup device (and then hiding the original player model) could be the easiest method
