This is a guide on how to build an inexpensive, facial motion capture rig. This is intended to hold a mobile phone but could be adapted for other situations. You’ll need a tactical helmet, some 3d-printed parts, a mobile phone holder, and some nuts and bolts. All in all, very easy to build and much cheaper than every option I see in the market today. Good tutorial! I tried the helmet way before, and I think it’s not very comfortable for the performer to do a long time performance, I tried several gadgets after that, and I settled down with something like this.

Is that rigid enough when moving?
You can make it around your neck tighter, and it will be stable enough unless you do dance performance.
