Guidance Needed on Unreal Editor Usage for Fortnite Creative 2.0 Publishing

Hi there. I’ve read all the forums and FAQs about getting started with Creative 2.0 and accessing Creator Island to publish worlds. I primarily create maps for creators and want to publish these works.

The FAQ states: To join, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old.
  • Have an Epic Games account and have logged into Fortnite at least 30 days before applying.
  • Your Epic account must have been active in editing islands in Fortnite Creative or projects in Unreal Editor for 7 of the last 30 days.

I understand these requirements. I’m over 18 and have had an account with Fortnite since 2018. However, I’ve only been having fun in Creative for a few days. My question is: how do I know how many days I’ve worked in the Unreal Editor for Creative? Does it count actual days, and do I only need to log into the Unreal Engine for Fortnite, or do I need to spend a minimum number of hours in the editor? Also, do I need to be an Epic creator to make island worlds? I’m solely a 3D artist, not a creator for YouTube or someone famous

Thanks for the reply! Hope someone can clarify my doubts.

Hi Wopliieee, Welcome to the Forums.

There’s no minimum number of hours, I think you’d just need to load a project, make a change, and save it. (I’d also Launch a Session for good measure)

Anyone can make/publish island worlds.

Looking forward to seeing what you make.

Thanks for the reply! I plan to publish my almost finished map as soon as possible. I hope you’re right. We’ll likely see this week, I guess, since I just downloaded the editor on Friday, the 24th, and have been updating it daily.

Cheers!

Still have a problem  unfortunately i have this problem

The creator’s Epic account: 1) must be at least 30 days old before applying; and at least 7 of the last 30 days must have included time editing in Fortnite Creative, Unreal Editor for Fortnite (UEFN) and/or Unreal Engine OR 2) spent and redeemed $75.00 (based on USD prices) in the last 90 days on Fortnite in-game products. Gift cards do not apply to this spending threshold."

I have account created in 2018 or maybe earlier and my last 7 days was in the unreal fortnite creative editor. I actually don’t wanna pay 75$ to probably still work with this problem. Can you help me with that as a moderator, or I need to ticket it somewhere? Thanks

Two days after of joining to the editor and change something works now! Thanks for replies!

Did you need to have 168 hours of creation time in the last 30 days or did you only log into a project and then log out (does doing that count as one day out of the 30 days?)

Hi Radzino,

You don’t need 168 hours of creation time, I’d just load into the editor and launch a session each day for 7 days.
