Groom Scale wont stay. Snaps back to original positions

Hey. I had a character modeled and groomed in Maya with Xgen. It was then transfered to UE and set up by someone for me.

However for some reason the hair in front of the bottom lip and nose vanished. I was able to fix it easy enough by unbinding the groom and disable physics on the groom then adjusted the scale of the groom from 1 to 1.01 and it looks perfect.

The problem is after i rebind everyting it still looks perfect but the second I turn on livelink mocap the groom snaps back to the original scale of 1 revealing the mesh underneath.

Btw this issue does not exist in the maya verson of the model. But if i can get the scale resize to stick it’d be fine.

Use a scene component and set the groom as its child, making sure that the groom doesn’t have any transforms, and just use the scene component to move the groom in its proper place, I did this trick on UE5 preview and it worked, should also work here, at least as a temporary solution until this is fixed.
