groom interpolation RBF (fur)

Hello, can someone please share experience with this?

https://dev.epicgames.com/documentation/en-us/unreal-engine/groom-interpolation-in-unreal-engine?application_version=5.5

specificially, short fur. When bending arms, or legs, the interpolation seems to fall short. Please share your expierience, if you tried it.
Quite often the fur “disappears” in the mesh, when it is bend. Or it seperates along an invisible seam, which makes awful shadows. :frowning:
Playing with these settings takes incredibly long, as I always have to wait for the processing. Does changing the interpolation distance help? :frowning: It runs for 15 minutes now.

So far, I noticed, seperating fur into patches, (1 groom asset, with many groom ID’s) gives the best result, but shouldn’t interpolation help with that?
