Groom, how can I control the tip and root width of a hair like what metahum did?


As you can see above picture, the root and tip of the eyebrow are very thin on metahum’s eyebrow, I want to achieve that on my character. First I think I can achieve it by adjusting the tip and root width in the groom asset like below:

But it didn’t work, it will make the hair disappear completely, which makes scene because the root and tip are both very thin. please see screenshot below:

and I checked the metahum’s eyebrow groom asset setting, its tip and root width are settled to 1, please see screenshot below:

That means the groom asset has its tip and root width information before it had been imported into UE4. Dose anyone know how to do that? in Blender, maya or 3dsmax.
