Since 3 days I’m trying to understand why the buzzcut of the Metahuman Groom Template exports just fine but once I try to create my own mesh and create a description/Collection, the Groom Exporter fails to find the description name. I once successfully extracted some polys from another Metahuman head I imported and Quadrangulated. For some reason I could export the grooms just fine too. But I don’t know what I did to make it work.
But usually it fails. Just so you can replicate what I try: in the Groom template, create a new cube, create a new description with that cube selected and create some Guides on it to generate Groom. Then → Groom Export, select the correct shape and Description Name, Export. It will fail with the No object matches name Error.
There must be something that I’m doing fundamentally wrong here. Can you help me? ChatGPT can’t help either. It says the description and the mesh must have the same name. But the Eyebrows had a mesh called polysurface9 and they exported just fine too. I’m totally out of ideas…
