Grid on Material in Niagara

Hi,

I build a sun in Niagara and used a material with dynamic parameters to distort the surface.
But when I use this material and the parameters, the resulting mesh has a grid:


When I distort a regular mesh with the material, it looks fine.
I tried around a bit, but can’t really figure out why it is doing that.

Hello!

if the mesh of the sun is custom made, try smoothing the surface shader of the mesh before importing it to unreal

or you can use the “free crack displacement” on the material, in order to activate it you have to change the tesallation mode to flat triangles
