Grid Customization

As far as I can tell, the only grid available in UE4 uses numbers like 10, 100, 1000, etc. Personally I am much more used to the grid type that uses multiples of 2 (256, 1024, 64, etc) as these numbers are more useful and were the way UE3 was made.

If you could at least give us the option to use the standard grid (multiples of 2) instead of the one that uses 10s and 100s, that would help a whole lot.

Hi idnewton,

In the editor preferences window under Viewports, there is a section called Grid Snapping. Within this you can turn on power of two grid size. Thank you for your feedback and have a great day!

This might just be me, but is there any way of getting the power of two grid back as well? If you change from power of 10 to 2, the snapping changes but the visual grid stays the same, meaning the snaps won’t end up on the gray lines.

Much appreciated
