Greyscale value to Blueprint from Material?

Looking for a way to do some procedural placement from a Material / Texture. Can I get a grayscale value from a Material?

Not exactly sure where you want to get the grayscale value? Is it in world (like an eyedropper tool) or in the material itself?

You can use the desaturation node in materials if you want to convert a color texture into it’s greyscale counterpart

For Actor placement based on texture, so black ignore white place an actor.
