Greater Control Over Translations with Manual Localization

We’re expanding localization options in UEFN with the introduction of Manual Localization, giving you greater control over text translations for your islands. In addition to the existing workflows for asset localization, this update allows you to optimize your islands for Fortnite’s 17 supported languages – maximizing your reach across the global player base.

With Manual Localization, you can directly edit your project’s PO files, including those populated using the existing Auto Localization workflow. These files can be accessed via the Content Browser in UEFN or directly on disk, giving you the flexibility to customize translations or refine automatically generated ones.

The PO format is compatible with localization tools like Poedit, or platforms like Crowdin and Smartling.
