Grassy surface resulting in noisy mesh and lots of spikes compared to Metashape

Hi,

I’m trying to find “optimal” settings to scan grassy surfaces. I often get very noisy mesh no matter what setting I use.
Downscaling helps a bit but the mesh is very low res after (not enough to bake nice displacement). Smoothing final results do not kill all the spikes.
I’ve tried every aligment, preselector settings, detector sensitivity, max feature repro error etc.

In reconstruction tab I’ve tried as well all possible settings from detail decimation factor, smoothing, default grouping factor and low texture grouping factor, but never got as close to smoothness of Metashape. I don’t like Meta because it do not gives such density of details and is about 5x slower.
My only problem is to ged rid of those sharp spikes that needs to be manually killed or smoothed in external software blender/zbrush.

Is there anything I’m missing? I just found that flat organic surfaces are pretty difficult to get right straight out of the box.

Cheers,

meta on ultra settings:

my photos are pretty sharp from tripod

In the end I made this asset working, while projecting details in blender there is away to cut top range of the mesh.
