Grass spawning can't be masked with painted layers on landscape

UE5.7 — Landscape Grass Type spawning everywhere despite Landscape Layer Blend mask on Grass Output node. Layer Sample returns 1.0 everywhere. VT disabled. How do I correctly mask Landscape Grass Output using painted landscape layers?"
