Graphics driver crashing unreal editor

Hi,

I know this question has been asked before, but out of all the posts, none of the suggested solutions have worked for me.

Every time I open a project, anywhere between 2 - 10 minutes in the application, the screen turns black momentarily and the application will crash with the following error message: “Video driver crashed and was reset! Make sure your video drivers are up to date. Exiting…”. This results in both the editor crashing along with the launcher.

I would be most appreciative if someone could help me find a viable solution that will allow me to continue using this engine.

As additional information, I update my video drivers only using the windows updater. No other side effects occur such as my computer restarting or my operating system freezing. I attempted to allow maximum performance for the application in the Nvidia control panel and disabled Monitor Editor Performance.

Hey Avatronis,

I notice in your dxdiag that you’re running on rather old drivers (340.52). Can you update to Nvidia’s latest driver?

-.

I recently updated my video driver to 347.52 and the result is the same.

While that is more current (February) than the drivers in your dxdiag, our testing for 4.8 was performed on later drivers than that, mostly 350 and up. We need to rule out old drivers as a cause before I can continue. Please see the link in my previous comment for the download page of 353.06.

So after finally downloading and installing driver 353.30, I still have the same problem.

Do you have any hardware temperature monitors installed? Anything that monitors the GPU.

i have exactly the same problem. have tried everything i can find. thankslink text
