Is it possible to play a sound at a slower speed but the same pitch without distortions? It appears possible with modern synthesizers but I haven’t been able to achieve it using the granular synth node.
You can control the Playback Speed independently from the Grain Pitch value. You will probably want to adjust your grain length to compensate and you will want to make sure you’re not in scrub mode.
I would avoid conflating granular synthesis with pitch shift, if that’s what you’re after.
Hey Dan, thanks for the response.
I’m not an audio expert so perhaps I’ve missed something obvious. As a baseline test I tried to play a sound wave in it’s natural form but playback through the granular synth changed it’s pitch/speed by approximately 185% with what I believe to be default settings.
The sound wave I tested had a duration of 10 seconds.

The Vector 2D Range values indicate a randomization range about the base value. If you do not want randomization on these values, you should make those 0.0, 0.0.
