Grabbing a skeletal mesh ragdoll with VR hands

So this has been an a bit of an hiatus but i cannot seem to get it to work. Still a newish user of unreal but been picking it up at a reasonable pace.

My problem is that using the VR example materials i can easily create staticmesh objects that the player can manipulate. But for the life of me i cannot get this to work with skeletal mesh objects (like it does in Blade & Sorcery) I cannot seem to find material how to accomplish the same results. Any tips, tricks or links are most welcome!
