I have a problem in my project. All the settings are default except that AO and gen4TAA for mobile is disabled. Targeted platform is mobile. But trying to enable GPU Scene makes my landscape and all the foliage disappear. Only my character is visible. If I disable this setting everything renders okay. But I want to improve the perfromance of my game. Desktop vulkan preview also works fine. Can’t get what is going on. I’ve read the theory about it. But don’t understand why all my hism from foliage actors dissapear.
It seems to be a device specific problem of unreal engine 5.4. Theres a screenshot of default 3rd person template(with edited joystick) with GPUScene enabled
It seems that all static meshes aren’t getting rendered at all on adreno 6xx devices like my redmi note 9 pro
Because on Samsung A10 mobile GPUSceneworks just fine
I tested different machines, it seems to be a problem with Vulkan 1.1.87 version
Problem persists in UE 5.5. It is even worse, now the screen is empty. Nothing renders except for height fog.
4.27 works fine. Looks like there were some breaking changes for some 5.x version. But I don’t have time to test them all.
Looks like the problems with phones occur due to epic games just made their games unavailable to lower versions of android so that the drivers aren’t getting fully tested on like 5 y.o devices. So whoever reads this post is my warning that you will likely face some issues with rendering on older the phones that can’t download Fortnite from play market. And the following is true that there are not to many mobile developers and studious to encourage epic to fix these issues.
