Got a file thats failing import with blender

I can’t figure out why this FBX doesn’t import and i’m not sure where to send this. I heard I should send models made in blender that fail…
When importing the model, UE4 crashes.

Quick question ShirtyKezRat, are you trying to import the fbx with textures or any blender physics enabled? That has caused problems for me so I imported the textures separately. Physics I don’t believe carry over.

The’re are definitively no textures. I don’t don’t how phyics work in blender so I assume i’m not doing that either.

As a side note: I’ve tried the most recent version of blender and the main line version, same issue.

I believe there is a problem with the armature you are using. It could be how it is parented to the mesh. Not sure yet. I was able to export your mesh fine with another armature (not fully rigged just a place holder) and it didn’t crash. I used the rigify armature to test it and it worked. I noticed there is a small dot indicating the origin is not at the root bone on your armature. You may have to try redoing your armature.

Interesting I will red redo the armature and try and do it properly.

Okay it seems the issue was the root bone didn’t have the model rigged to it!
