Hi Community.
As a total newbie to photogrammetry I am trying to figure out a good workflow.
Coming from some studies about visualsfm+meshlab+blender,
I can’t get my head around the differnet approach in RC.
From other tutorials I am used to get a non-colored modell and some kind of “color-map" (bunch of photos in a chaotic grid).
which could be applied later in blender.
In RC everything seems to be coloured from the start.
So how can I get I non colored modell and the seperated “color-map” in RC?
Thanks for your help.
Best regards from Germany…
Christian
Instead of just clicking on “Start” after loading the images, try the following:
Load your images
Go to Alignment Tab
Click “Align Images”
Wait until done
Go to Reconstruction Tab
Click “Set Reconstruction Region” and choose automatic, then adjust as needed.
Click “Normal Detail”
Wait until done
You now have an uncolored model that you can export.
To get color or texture:
Click “Unwrap” and specify how many textures you want and what resolution and such
Click “Texture” and wait for the texture to be generated
You now have a textured and colored model that you can export.
WOW…THANKS …and so fast
Nice. I will try that.
And is there any way to get the color-information in form of a texture.png or so out of RC?
cheers…
Christian
That is what UNWRAP and TEXTURE does for you.
When you export a Mesh after those steps you will get one or more textures with it.
