Good in theory - but is it possible - interface interaction

Hi everyone - we’re looking at using UE to create a simulation of a software interface; where a user enters a room, selects a screen among several, is presented with an interface with several options, including entering details.

My immediate question is, is this possible or has been done before? My assumption is that a user could click on a screen and pull up an image of the software in the bg with UMG inputs over the top; the responses, clicks etc given could then be stored in BluePrint static variables to be called upon later from anywhere in the software.

Can this be done? Sorry I’m fairly new to UE and still trying to find its boundaries - if any.

thanks

You can create UMG 3D widgets, this sounds like something useful for you.
