Global touch input checker

Hello. I’ve been trying to make a simple blueprint which should watch out for an input, that I added to the Input map under Project Settings.
But the event never triggers. I’ve made the player controller the default and made sure it is also set in the gamemode.
How would you go about accomplishing such task?

im not sure if this will work but plug enable input node at begin play to this actor (if this is not your pawn in game mode
