Hello,
First time Twinmotion user here.
I am VERY frustrated, because my first experience with Rhino to Twinmotion didn't go smoothly AT ALL... Hope the dear people in this forum can help fix this..
THE PROBLEM
Model in Rhino 7:
Model, after importing it to Twinmotion (via DataSmith and Direct Link):Some of the surfaces are weirdly "clipped" - they are "kind of there", because I can select them, but they are kind of "transparent" while, according to the material, they shouldn't be.
The weirdest thing is that SOME surfaces with the SAME material is perfectly "solid" and visible, while others are "glitchy" - they kiiiind of seem to appear, while orbiting the model around but not really.
Mainly, the "glitchy" ones are two spherical bodies on the sides, but also cylindrical "tunnels" that connect two side "bubbles" to the main central body.
Would be SOOO GRATEFUL if someone could point me in the right direction, cause Youtube videos and general "how to" posts didn't even hint at it.
Thanks in advance.. Fingers crossed::)
Best,
Li
P.S. Currently, I use Twinmotion 2022.1.2 free trial version and Rhino 7 on a specced out MacBook Air M1.
First, I did use Twinmotion "2022.2 Preview" version - that's where I did get the same problem firsthand, right from the get go.
Then, after some time of studying Youtube videos on the subject - "what did I do wrong?.." - and learning that there is not much that I can do wrong, while importing (yeah, I did choose "collapse by material"), I decided, that maybe the newest "Preview" version of Twinmotion has limited features or bugs, so I downgraded to 2022.1.2, but.. To no avail.
Hope, some wizards here can help me get to the root of this "glitch in the Matrix".
Most grateful.
P.P.S. I did use surfaces, not solids in Rhino, cause I need to have two different layers of shell - - interior and exterior - with different materials.
