Give Metahuman T-Pose in Maya

I’m trying to give a metahuman from Unreal 5.6 a quickrig in maya to make it easier to work with, but every time I reposition the arms to t-pose it snaps back to a-pose when re-rigged. I’ve even tried exporting an fbx in t-pose and re-importing it before applying the quickrig but the same thing still happens. Maybe there’s a really simple way to resolve this but I can’t figure it out. If anyone has any advice on how to solve this issue I’d really appreciate it.
