I’m starting with Unreal project and so far I have setup GIT repo for my NAS server. I mage initial commit of Unreal project from command line.
However I don’t think this is most convenient way of working with source control.
Could you please advise from practical point of view, whether is it better to use GIT from Rider IDE or Unreal Plugin ?
Hey there @lig76! Welcome to the community! The answer here kind of depends on your workflow. I used to use the command line interface, but mostly out of comfort. But I feel I have a better pipeline by using the Unreal Source Control plugin itself as it has some decent features to help with collaboration if lacking in full customizability like CLI, but I use Perforce so your mileage may vary. I can’t speak from working directly from Rider.
