I would like to compile ue4 but even after receiving the email that my account was linked to git I still cant access the repository it shows up as 404 and as missing when I try to clone. Please tell me what step I’m missing to get access, thank you.

If you have not yet received the welcome email please make sure you entered the username correctly. It is case sensitive so make sure it is exactly the same.
If still not then go to your account settings page by selecting Personal from the drop down menu while hovering the mouse over your name in the top right corner of this page and double check you have the correct email address entered.
If that is fine then make sure you are signed into the GitHub website with that account and then try to use the link again.

Thanks for the responses. I revived the conformation email from epic games thinking I was done, but I did not know you had to click the a link from an email sent by git hub. This email was sent to spam for some reason. If this happens to anyone else look for all messages sent by @github or [GitHub] in the title.
Have you also joined the Epic Games group on GitHub? You should have received an email to do so when you linked your account.
