I noticed my git access was not revoked when my subscription ended few days ago.
If I understood stuff correctly I shouldn’t have access to git anymore since my subscription ended or have I misunderstood something?

You are correct, when your subscription ends you should no longer have access to the UnrealEngine repository on GitHub. However, we realized that revoking access to the repository also automatically and permanently deletes any private forks of the repository that the user has made. We didn’t want to catch anyone off guard and cause them to lose their work, so we are not revoking anyone’s access until we have a system in place to send automated warnings in advance. We want to make sure you have time to move your code to a new repository or at least save a local copy so you don’t lose it. We’re in the final stages of testing the automated warning system and it will be released shortly. Once that is out, we’ll start revoking access to expired subscriptions 7 days later.
