Gifting Now Live on the Epic Games Store

Gifting is now available on the Epic Games Store. Players can purchase and send games, editions, add-ons and eligible bundles directly to friends on their Epic friends list.

Key points for developers:

  • Supports most paid products at launch, however consumables, subscriptions, and pre-purchases are not supported.

  • Gifts can only be sent to friends who have been connected for at least 2 days.

  • Recipients receive notifications via the store and email (if enabled), and gifts appear on the recipient’s Gift Management page.

  • Refunds are only issued if a gift is rejected, expires, or becomes unavailable.

  • Standard bundles can be gifted even if the sender owns part of it; dynamic bundles are not supported at launch.

Trying to purchase; tried two different cards: can’t. Why is the store doing this to me??

Hello,

Thank you for reaching out for support! If you’re having issues completing purchases with multiple payment methods, I highly recommend contacting your financial institution to see if there is a block in place.

Additionally, I recommend contacting support for additional assistance. They should be able to assist you!

And I would highly recommend you to improve your customer service support through live chat during AUstralian working hours.

Regarding open gift shop, i have just tested that if i make a purchase , only its gifing me an option to cancel purchase, I dont have an option to purchase the item again in order to gift it to someone.
