Ive been learning on my own with YouTube & documentations?m, but i wanted to know if anyone has any great recommendations to learning Unreal Engine for game dev
Hey there @BobbyBoy404! So much of the community learns with a mixture of Documentation, Youtube videos, Community support (here), and sometimes paid courses. If you’re looking for more of a specific resources I can point you in the right direction. Since you mentioned you were new, my usual recommendation is to go through the Unreal “First game” tutorials, then start digging in to make your own (very small) projects to get your feet wet. You’ll hit roadblocks (everyone does, that’s normal) and you’ll have to consult docs, youtube, and even us here on the forums to try and get through them. With every step you’ll master a new piece of the engine and eventually be able to make mostly whatever you want. I’ll link those starter courses for you, and from there if you have any specifics you’d like to have more resources on I can direct you better from there! Good luck, and don’t forget to have fun!
This is the Welcome to Game Development learning path and has a series of videos to get you up to speed quickly:
Thank you so much really appreciate it! will definitely look into those and get started!
