Getting a error on installation

Yo people, I’m actually getting this with a lot of programs now,

Any idea how to fix, or some help with getting U4 without installing it.

Hi there,

This is likely due to administrative rights on your Windows account, make sure your account is an Administrator on your system. If you can’t do that, right click on the installer file and choose “Run as Administrator”.

Once you install UE4 you will also need to run as admin when you launch the editor, to avoid having to do that make your account an admin.

Late reply as ever,

I am on a admin account and I cannot run UE4 in admin mode… This is strange. The check box in properties to run as a admin is not check-able.

Any ideas?

EDIT:

I can’t even install it on the admin account itself (the hidden one on all pcs). Strange. Gives the same error

You could try running it through an elevated command prompt window. Alternatively if you are on Window 8+, try locating the program via the search bar, and then right click on it, and choose ‘Run as Administrator’.
