About The Project
Get Set Games is partnering with Gearbox Publishing on a new AAA console-based video game for current and next-gen platforms. The game is a multi-year, multi-title initiative that breaks new ground, bringing popular IP from different universes together in a new and remarkable way.

This is a full-time position at our Toronto studio with a comprehensive health and benefits package.

Job Description
We’re looking for a Producer with significant experience shipping games professionally, who is self-directed and excellent at collaborating across disciplines.

You’ll work with stakeholders from all disciplines to determine priorities for the project. You’ll create and maintain near term and long term production plans. And you’ll ensure that team members have all the information they need to succeed.

You will also be keeping a finger on the pulse of the day to day progress of the team and facilitating collaboration. You’ll be a key contributor to our team, and we’ll always support your continued growth at our company.

Ideal Candidates
Excellent communication skills are your most important tool in this role, whether it is casual or formal, verbal or written.

A solid understanding of various project management methodologies (eg. waterfall, agile) and an ability to apply and adjust them to our team’s unique needs is key to this role.

The Character Animation Domain
Characters and enemies in the game will be highly expressive and dynamic, in the vein of modern animated features. Animations, especially for characters, should be clear and extremely responsive but not mechanical. We aim to bring life to characters with secondary motion (cloth, accessories etc.) and have a fair amount of leeway stylistically in order to “sell” movements. We may utilize motion capture in a hybrid workflow, but knowledge of classical animation will be a strong bonus. You will work with other animators and help guide the general approach to the animation workflow. We operate in the UE4 environment and we will be delivering on multiple hardware platforms. Experience with the UE4 animation framework will be a plus.

We consider this a senior role due to the emphasis on understanding priorities at the project level and aligning the efforts of the art, level design and cinematics teams.

Get Set Games is working on a project with Gearbox Publishing for leading consoles and PC that breaks new ground and we’ll need a Senior Modeler with a breadth of knowledge working in the games industry.

You’ll be working on game-wide playable and cinematic environments, props and interactive objects. You will be creating environments and objects for major gameplay areas across a wide variety of thematic zones in the game, and you will work with the cinematics team on environmental considerations for narrative sequences.You will also be coordinating with others on the concept art and level design teams to deliver a unified vision for the game. You’ll be a key contributor to our team, and we’ll always support your continued growth.
