here are a few screenshots and a video rendering of one of my more recent photogrammetry projects.
Freudenberg, a famous German town, it’s miniature town sculpture in 3D:
It was quite some work, but the stunning result was worth the effort.
I took roughly 1850 high resolution photographs to catch all those tiny little details.
The high-quality model had over 400.000.000 polygons. I simplified and flattened it down to 12.000.000 polys with the details reprojected into the normal map.
The final model has three 16K texturesets and a custom roughness map to get back the original shininess.
The model was lit and rendered in Unreal Engine 5.3.
