Geometry scripting, apply mesh plane cut, what does cut frame rotation even do?


I am trying to make a system that allows you to cut tree meshes into pieces and move them around. I can do that as long as the tree hasn’t been rotated in any way, I suspect that cut frame rotation might be able to help, but any time I change any value it removes the whole mesh.
Does anyone know how exactly it works?
