Geo to block projection

Hi, I have noticed that we only have the ability to load one model at a time into a scene. I would like to load additional models (or some other work around) to prevent textures from being projected onto parts of the scene that might be blocked by geometry.

Let me give you an example. I may create a scene in of a room interior with an object such as a piece of furniture or sculpture in the center of the room. There also might be long hallways and backyards visible etc. I then export the mesh. I may cut this mesh up into sections that have different topology goals, UV or polycount limits, texture resolution or I might want them to load dynamically in a game engine etc. So I treat the meshes in third party applications. I then bring them back into your software to texture. If I bring in the room but not the 8 foot tall sculpture in the middle of the room I end up projecting the sculpture all over the walls. In PS I would have rendered masks but that was a pain because I would have to merge a bunch of geo just to prevent this projection issue (ie it worked well if I had one model but what if I have 25 big sculptures that all need to be separate objects?). This is not a hypothetical question. Do you have any recommended workflows?
