Generic vs Brand name assets

Hi all!

I’m trying to put together an animated 3d short film, and am wondering about the legality of using branded vehicles, vs no name generic vehicles.

The quality of the meshes for the brand names are usually higher quality with several features like opening doors/interiors complete/horns and lights etc.

I want to use brand name vehicles solely for the features aspect, purchased on Marketplace, but am afraid of legal trouble if pursue that avenue.

Anyone have any input on such legalities of using branded products in 3d films?

Technically no, you can’t use the brand name cars without licensing. You’ll notice that quite a lot of games use made up brands and designs.
