Generating a Hit Event with a Metal Hatchet

I have tried everything I know to get an Event Hit to work with the metal hatchet. Is there something I am missing?

Checked sim gens hit events
checked gen overlap events.

trying to return info from the actor that i hit with hatchet.

Any suggestions?

Their collision is disabled and if it were enabled it is nullified. Goes for all melee weapons I think, at least ones that can harvest.

I don’t know for certain, but I’m going to assume they’re using a trace, much like guns, to determine hits.
