I have a issue at opening the GenerateProjectFiles.bat, which gives me this screen:
I already downloaded the required files of the source code, extracted them and pasted on the same directory of the GenerateProjectFiles.bat… Here it is a screen shot of them with respective date:
There are a few things that you can try to resolve this issue.
First, try redownloading the engine and dependency files again. It is possible that one of the files may have become corrupted during your initial download and the GenerateProjectFiles.bat file is not able to create the UnrealBuildTool. Make sure you have downloaded the correct dependencies for the version of the Engine that you are trying to build (the dependencies for 4.3 will not work with 4.2, for example).
If that does not work, try uninstalling and reinstalling Visual Studio. If you are using Visual Studio 2013, make sure you have either Ultimate, Professional, or Express for Windows Desktop. If you are using Visual Studio 2012, there may be additional steps you will need to take.
Another thing to try is to disable your Anti-virus, or set it to ignore your Unreal Engine folders. Some Anti-virus software will throw up false-positive results and prevent parts of the Engine from functioning correctly.
Please let us know which, if any, of these steps help you with this issue. If none of them help, we will keep working with you to resolve this issue.
