I’m using UE 4.7.6 and Visual Studio 2013 Community Edition.
As in these:
No generated headers are created and I cannot compile the project in VS or open it in UE4.
The solution suggested in the second question does not work for me.
Is there any other way to force the generation of the header files?

Have you tried creating a new project and generating the vs project files?
A virgin 3rd person project opened in VS also does not have the generated header files.
Right clicking on the .uproject file and selecting Generate Visual Studio project files opens the dialog box, but it fails without message and closes

sounds like a problem with dependencies.
Try to redownload them
What specific dependencies are you referring to?

all xD are you going with the source code?
Sorry, I don’t understand what you are asking.
I’ve reinstalled UE4 and can not create new projects, but I still cannot access my old project.

i mean: are you using the UE4 source code, or the installer version?
I still need a way to force generation of the missing header files.
I cannot load this project at all.

The only workable solution was to trash the corrupted project and start over
