Landscape size and resolution
When laying out a landscape I understand the idea of project load based on resolution, but my question is, does the size and resolution of the landscape framework if out camera sight, represent a burden or is it only the areas that can be seen that present the load placed on rendering?

The purpose of LODs are to reduce load, but these are distant objects that can be seen. What about parts of a scene that can’t be seen at all, do they represent a continuous load on the project?
Thanks!

Hi Fantam Mayfly,

I’ve moved your post to the ‘World Creation’ category.

Landscapes will tesselate automatically. (Turn on wireframe view mode to watch this)

Your first question ties into your second one - Everything (Landscape Tiles included) will be culled when you’re not looking at them.

Hope that helps!
