General Question: Resource use

Is there a resource consumption difference if you create a object in Blender or Maya rather than constructing the same object in UE by using multiple generic shapes? (assume they are reasonably close in quality)

Using BSP in UE4 does not run as well as using a mesh you created in a separate program. It can be OK in some cases, like making a quick floor, but if it’s much more complex than that then it’ll be easier to make in another program.
