GeForce 2 MX | 72 Million Poly Asset | Unreal Engine nvRTX 5.4.3 Branch

Last night I finished up another asset for an exciting upcoming project,

The Classic GeForce 2 MX, this card introduced me to so many of my all time favorite games back in the day, an absolute legend with it’s Hardware T&L.

Using the NVIDIA nvRTX Unreal Engine 5.4 branch

Lumen with RESTIR GI & RTXDI Light Sampling

Realtime ~40fps at 1440p on RX 7900 XTX

~72 million poly asset, modeled in Houdini, textured in Substance Painter 2022 with 165 UDIMs

Each PCB channel is actual geometry, using a procedural setup in Houdini.

Hello there @DylserX !

72 million polys!? That’s so wild to think about because this render looks so beautiful yet I never would’ve thought the poly count was that high. It looks really clean and almost like the real thing right before me. How long did this take to create?

haha thanks! I’ve been building a workflow specifically for PCB based stuff so this particular one took around 2 days to do, the first pass at the workflow took about a week.
Those PCB channels and solder pieces push the polycount up haha
