[Gauging Interest] Advanced side scroller template

Hello everybody,

I have Created a template for a (advanced) side scroller. I see many people that make very beautiful maps for side scrollers but often not know how to create the enemies, coins and more blueprint stuff.

It’s completely done in Blueprint and it has a lot of basic features you want in your side scroller:

  • Coins you can pick up.
  • 1 enemy you can kill by jumping on it.
  • A finish which brings you to an/the next level.
  • Lives, which you lose if you die.
  • A HUD for the coins and lives.

you can just edit de variables in the detail panel!

This would be pretty cool. What price point are you looking at?

nice! :slight_smile:
Just be sure to not name it ending with “template” since this was an issue with my TopDown Toolkit (formerly known as Advanced Topdown Template), from Epic’s POV they dont want it to be mistaken as one of their standard templates.

Apart from that i guess it would be nice to have some kind of alternate movement inside too (think of flying super mario).
