Games with UE4 crashing

I’m not an UE4 user, let’s start with that.
I’ve just been experiencing crashes with games that run on UE4, every game that I’ve got running on UE4 CTDs after a few minutes.
These are Insurgency: Sandstorm and Post Scriptum.

Insurgency Sandstorm crash message:
Fatal error: [File:Unknown] [Line: 198] Unreal Engine is exiting due to D3D device being lost. (Error: 0x887A0006 - ‘HUNG’)

Post Scriptum crash message:

You do not have any debugging symbols required to display the callstack for this crash.

That one is extra weird…

Anyway! As you can see, It’s the dreadful D3D Device being lost error message.
I’ve tried so many things at this point.
TdrDelay
TdrLevel
Cleaned my PC from all GPU Drivers and reinstalled them
Disabled Anti -Virus and Windows Defender
Verified game cache
and probably more things that I don’t remember.

I have found 1 solution to this, and this is extra weird so stay with me!

When I wiped my PC from all GPU drivers with DDU, and then reinstalled them; I was able to play Insurgency without any issues! But only the one time I played it after I’d reinstalled the drivers.
When I close the game and then start it again it crashes within minutes again!
Tried this multiple times, and works every time.
But like I said, if I close the game it’s screwed.

Never had any issues before this, not a single crash in any UE4 game.
But now I can’t play a single game using UE4, and the various game devs won’t answer me…

If anyone here has the time and knowledge I’d be more than thankful for a little help or wise words.

My system specs:
RTX 3070 (Not overclocking it)
i5 7600K 3,8 GHz
SSD Samsung 850 EVO 2TB
16 GB RAM

i5 7600K

Have you tried disabling the integrated GPU in the BIOS?

Besides that, in the recent months there’s been a lot of issues with nVidia drivers making the editor unstable. It has now been over half a year. Have a look at this thread:

There’s a bunch of links and fixes to get the editor stable again. Perhaps some of those fixes actually carry on to the shipped products…

I checked, the integrated GPU was disabled.

I’m going to check out the thread, but if anyone has any answer please do post them.

And thank you for answering to the post Everynone

Did you ever find a fix on this?
